<idAbs>&lt;div style='text-align:Left;'&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:12pt'&gt;This layer provides rainfall depths in inches for the 10 and 100 recurrence interval over a range of durations from 15-minutes to 48-hours to be used when performing hydrological calculations within the unincorporated parts of Marin County, and possibly in incorporated areas where specifically approved by the City or Town. These values were statistically derived using precipitation gages across the entire San Francisco Bay Area by Met-Stat for Valley Water (2016) as an alternative to the values presented in NOAA Atlas 14. Analysis by Valley Water for the South Bay as well as by Wood Rodgers in 2025 for Marin County showed runoff from calibrated hydrologic models better matched historical flow frequencies using Met-Stat depths than NOAA Atlas 14 depths. Note that it is likely the Met Stat values will be replaced by the newer NOAA Atlas 15 values when publicly released in 2028 (estimated date by NOAA) per NOAA (https://water.noaa.gov/about/atlas15).
